Abstract:

The SYK model is a simple model of interacting Majorana fermions which has properties similar to near extremal black holes. We consider a set of pure states in this model that have interesting properties. Correlation functions can be analyzed in the large N limit, where they are directly connected to thermal correlators. These states are connected also to teleportation through wormholes. They also hint at some lessons for the construction of the black hole interior.
