Abstract:

String theory, the most promising candidate for fundamental laws, leads to a vast landscape of possible universes. However it has also been realized that this vast landscape is among the rare exceptions of possible universes that look consistent but actually are not, and belong to the swampland. In this talk I review these topics and explain what it teaches us about our universe, its cosmology and its particle content
