Opening for PhD positions at the IFT

There is a new opening for PhD positions at the IFT. There are two positions associated to the Severo Ochoa Excellence Center grant, and four positions associated to other grants.

Candidates are expected to carry out a PhD in one of the strategic research lines of the IFT, which include particle phenomenology, astroparticle physics, nuclear theory, string theory, gravitation and cosmology, lattice and quantum field theory, and quantum information theory. They should have an excellent academic track record, and are expected to hold an academic degree that grants access to a PhD program at the time of formalisation of the contract.

Candidates interested in joining the IFT should select one of the following
grants:

FPA2015-68048-C3-3-P Fundamental physics and cosmology with extragalactic surveys

FPA2015-68541-P Non-perturbative QCD facing the LHC era challenges

SEV-2012-0249-16-1 The origin of mass and the Higgs particle

SEV-2012-0249-16-2 Beyond the Standard Model and the LHC

They are expected to provide:

- A copy of the passport
- An updated CV, either in English or Spanish
- A certificate of academic degrees- A certificate of the Masters degree, indicating:
• Issue date
• List of subjects and grades
• For foreign degrees maximum and minimum grade should be indicated as well as the minimum grade for obtaining the title

An official translation should be provided for titles not issued in Spanish or
English.
