Title: On String Phenomenology From a Swampland Perspective.
Venue & Time: Blue Room / 11:00
Abstract:  This thesis investigates the deep interplay between particle physics, cosmology, and quantum gravity within the framework of string phenomenology. Focusing on Type IIA Calabi–Yau orientifolds with intersecting D6-branes, we show that the suppression of neutrino masses at infinite-distance limits necessarily entails the emergence of light towers of states. This result establishes a direct link between particle-scale physics and the geometry of extra dimensions, while also suggesting potentially testable phenomenological signatures. The thesis further connects inflationary dynamics to the quantum-gravity cutoff and examines how supersymmetry breaking in no-scale vacua can give rise to Minkowski backgrounds, offering a novel perspective on moduli stabilization.
