The Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT UAM-CSIC) celebrates the award of 2025 “la Caixa” Foundation Research Fellowships to three researchers affiliated with the institute. In this edition, Chiara Altavista and Miquel Aparici have been selected as recipients of the INPhINIT doctoral programme and will begin a new stage in their research careers in the field of theoretical physics. This programme aims to attract and train young researchers in internationally renowned institutions, fostering their scientific development in environments of excellence.
In addition, Patrick Foldenauer has been awarded a postdoctoral fellowship within the Junior Leader programme, aimed at experienced researchers who are starting to develop their own independent lines of research. These fellowships promote scientific leadership and the consolidation of high-impact research careers.
The official award ceremony for the 2025 “la Caixa” Foundation Research Fellowships brought together the new fellows in an institutional event held at the CosmoCaixa building in Barcelona, where the role of science as a driver of progress was highlighted.
