Theoretical physics is everywhere: from the smallest scale, the fundamental particles we are made of, to the largest structures of the cosmos— even the very shape of the universe itself!

If you are passionate about physics and want to learn what is studied at a research center, we invite you to visit the IFT from March 23 to 26 as part of the 4º ESO + Empresa Program.

We propose that students become researchers for a few days, providing them with tools and materials so they can reflect on open questions in modern physics, such as the nature of dark matter or how to unify the four fundamental forces of the universe.

They will enjoy hands-on workshops and talks to learn physics and search for solutions like real researchers. In addition, they will meet scientists first-hand and will be able to ask them all kinds of questions:

  • What is researched and how is it done?

  • What is sought in a theoretical physics research center?

  • What is a typical day like in the life of a researcher?

Through this program, we aim to bring students closer not only to scientific content, but also to professional research work in a cutting-edge environment, sparking their curiosity and motivating them to imagine themselves as an active part of the scientific community of the future.
