It includes a feature report on the IFT Quantum Computing Group and an interview with researcher Alberto Casas.

Issue 10 of CSIC Investiga (July–December 2025) focuses on quantum physics and the new technological possibilities that arise from controlling matter at microscopic scales. This special issue covers some of the major themes in the field — from the foundations of quantum theory to emerging applications in information science, cryptography, sensing technologies and new experimental platforms — through popular science articles, interviews and feature reports.
In this issue, the Institute for Theoretical Physics (IFT UAM-CSIC) plays a prominent role, with a feature report on its Quantum Computing Group, showcasing research lines focused on quantum simulators and fundamental physics problems. The issue also includes an interview with researcher Alberto Casas, who reflects on 100 years of quantum theory, its cultural impact, and its scientific and technological outlook.
