- Until January 31
A new February 11—the International Day of Women and Girls in Science—is approaching, and once again we invite you to participate in the #YoFísica challenge, in which you are the protagonists by bringing us the stories of great women scientists. The year 2025, which is now coming to an end, has been designated the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, and what better way to celebrate it than by taking part in a new edition of the IFT contest.
This year’s challenge is #YoFísicaCuántica, and it consists of recording a video of up to 60 seconds in which you tell the scientific trajectory of one of the women researchers proposed in our list, all of them leading figures in quantum physics and related fields. If you personally know the scientist, you may also interview her and use that material for your video. Send us your video at yofisica.ift@gmail.com.
As every year, we will create a compilation video of all contributions, which will be published on the IFT YouTube channel on February 11, 2026. All individual videos will also appear on the IFT 11 February channel and in this gallery on our website.

Instructions
-
Choose your favorite physicist from the proposed list (or select another scientist who inspires you within the field of quantum science).
-
Research her life, career, and scientific contributions.
-
Record a video of up to 60 seconds explaining her career and her impact on the field of quantum physics.
-
You may also conduct an interview — real or fictional — and use it to build your video.
-
Send your video to yofisica.ift@gmail.com.
In the document you can download here, you will find a selection of scientists linked to quantum physics. You may choose one of them or look for other researchers in the quantum world who inspire you.
Rules on the use of images in the videos
We must respect certain rules regarding the appearance of people in the videos:
-
People under 14 years old will need signed consent from their mother, father, or legal guardian. The document can be downloaded here.
-
People over 14 years old may sign this other permission form themselves.
We need to receive all the required documentation before publishing the videos on our website or our YouTube channel.
All participants will receive a special surprise gift related to quantum physics…
Take part in #YoFísicaCuántica
You have until January 31. We look forward to your video!
