Abstract: The 10th anniversary of the first detection of gravitational waves (GWs) is an apt time to assess the promise of this across all GW windows to the understanding of our Universe. The talk briefly reviews the status and successes achieved. The focus will be on the promise for cosmology of the upcoming LIGO-India observatory in early 2030s, LISA space mission in mid 2030s, and the proposed next generation cosmic microwave background and terrestrial/lunar missions.
