New video in the #IFTResponde YouTube series.
In the summer our exposition to the sun increases, and so does the associated UV radiation risks. In this video, Rosa Sandá Seoane, postdoctoral investigator from the IFT, exposes the principles which explain why certain kinds of solar radiation can damage our skin. While humans have natural barriers for photoprotection, prolonged exposition to sun –and the associated cumulative damage– makes the use of artificial solar protection indispensable. But the question remains, how do they work and why are they effective?
