General terms and conditions of use of the www.ift.uam-csic.es/es portal

The Institute of Theoretical Physics (IFT) hereby informs you that access to and use of the website www.ift.uam-csic.es/es and all subdomains and directories included under it (hereinafter collectively referred to as the Portal) are subject to the terms set out in this Legal Notice, without prejudice to the fact that access to any of these services or content may require the acceptance of additional General Terms and Conditions.

The IFT reserves the right to make changes to the Portal without prior notice, in order to update, correct, modify, add or delete content or design. As information is not updated immediately, we suggest that you always check the validity and accuracy of the information, services and content presented. Likewise, the conditions and terms contained in this Notice may vary, so we invite you to review these terms when you visit the Portal again.

The IFT is not liable for any damages that may arise from the use of the tools and information contained on www.ift.uam-csic.es/es in relation to decisions regarding the initiation, development or outcome of administrative procedures. Such decisions must be verified with the competent centres, bodies or agencies. In any case, the information and content of this website may not be used in proceedings against the Public Administration, which accepts no responsibility for any discrepancies that may exist between the printed documents of the competent Administration and the electronic publication on these pages.

Intellectual and industrial property rights

Both the design of the Portal and its source codes, as well as the logos, trademarks and other distinctive signs that appear on it, belong to the IFT or collaborating entities and are protected by the corresponding intellectual and industrial property rights.

The information available on this website, unless expressly stated otherwise, may be reused; its total or partial reproduction, modification, distribution and communication for commercial and non-commercial purposes is authorised, subject to the following conditions:

• Under no circumstances may the content of the information be distorted.

• The user is obliged to cite the source of the documents being reused.

• The user is obliged to mention the date of the last update of the documents being reused.

• The IFT declares its respect for the intellectual and industrial property rights of third parties; therefore, if you believe that this site may be violating your rights, please contact the Institute of Theoretical Physics.

Links or hyperlinks

Users who intend to establish a hyperlink between their website and that of the IFT must take the following into account:

• The establishment of the hyperlink does not imply, in any case, the existence of relations between the IFT and the owner of the website, nor the acceptance and approval by the IFT of its contents or services. Therefore, it shall not be stated or implied that the IFT has expressly authorised the hyperlink, nor that it has supervised or assumed the contents and services offered or made available on said website.

• The IFT is not responsible in any way for, nor does it guarantee the quality, accuracy, reliability, correctness or morality of the content or services that the establishment of the hyperlink may offer. The user assumes sole responsibility for any consequences, damages or actions that may arise from accessing the hyperlinked website.

• The website on which the hyperlink is established may not contain any trademark, name, logo, slogan or other distinctive signs belonging to the IFT, except for those signs that form part of the hyperlink itself.

• The website on which the hyperlink is established shall not contain information with content that is illegal, contrary to morality and generally accepted good customs and public order, nor shall it contain content that is contrary to the rights of third parties.

Frames

The IFT expressly prohibits the use of ‘framing’ or the use by third parties of any other mechanisms that alter the design, original configuration or content of its Portal.

Privacy

The purpose of the collection and automated processing of personal data collected through this website is to manage the service requested by the user and to follow up on queries raised. The legal basis for the processing is the consent of the data subject and its necessity for the performance of the public functions and missions of the IFT, which is the data controller. It is not possible to predict the deletion periods, which will depend on the case and the service requested.

The regulations require that the inventory of processing activities be made public by electronic means. All information about the IFT can be found in the About IFT section of this website.

In accordance with Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related legislation, the IFT undertakes to comply with the obligation of secrecy with regard to personal data and the duty to treat it confidentially after carrying out the corresponding risk analyses, in particular, in accordance with the first additional provision of the LOPDGDD, the corresponding security measures provided for in the National Security Scheme necessary to prevent its alteration, loss, unauthorised processing or access.

Users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation, opposition, limitation or portability at any time by writing to the Institute of Theoretical Physics at C/ Nicolás Cabrera 13-15, Campus de Cantoblanco UAM, 28049, Madrid, Spain, enclosing a photocopy of their ID card or by using the IFT contact form on its Contact page. The IFT reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy to adapt it to new legislation, case law or interpretations by the Spanish Data Protection Agency. In this case, the IFT will announce such changes, clearly indicating the modifications made in advance and requesting, if deemed necessary, acceptance of the same.

 

Applicable law and jurisdiction

The applicable law in the event of a dispute or conflict of interpretation of the terms that make up this Legal Notice, as well as any issue related to the services of this Portal, shall be Spanish law.

For the resolution of any conflict that may arise during a visit to the Portal or the use of the services offered therein, the IFT and the User agree to submit to the Judges and Courts of the User’s domicile, provided that it is located in Spanish territory.
