Abstract: I will present recent progress in applying effective field theory (EFT) to the precise computation of thermal phase transition parameters and the associated gravitational wave spectra. I will also briefly comment on byproducts of this work, including new methods for two-loop renormalization in EFT or skyrmion degrees of freedom emerging only at finite temperature.
