The Standard model and the lattice

Seminarios

Chiral symmetry is hard to engineer on the lattice. The origin of this problem can be traced to the Nielsen Ninomiya theorem which in its most naive form forbids the existence of unpaired Weyl fermions on the lattice.

Classical and Quantum Detection of Gravitational Waves

Detecting Gravitational Waves (GWs) across a wide range of frequencies will certainly allow us to uncover new phenomena.

Probing Ultralight Dark Matter with Atomic Molecular and Nuclear Clocks

IFT Seminar Room/Red Room Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT) -C. Nicolás Cabrera, 13-15, Fuencarral-El Pardo, Madrid, Spain
Seminarios

Ultralight dark matter can induce oscillations in fundamental constants of nature such as the fine-structure constant the strength of the strong interaction and particle masses.

New constraints on axion-like particles at colliders

IFT Seminar Room/Red Room Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT) -C. Nicolás Cabrera, 13-15, Fuencarral-El Pardo, Madrid, Spain
Seminarios

Axion-like particles (ALPs) appear in several well-motivated extensions of the Standard Model. In this talk we will discuss collider constraints on axion-like particles.

Inflation: scopes and cautions in model building

IFT Seminar Room/Red Room Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT) -C. Nicolás Cabrera, 13-15, Fuencarral-El Pardo, Madrid, Spain
Seminarios

CMB observations have been testing inflation at scales ranging from a few Mpc to Gpc delivering stringent limits on the amplitudes of inflationary perturbations and their scale-dependence and pointing to an effectively single field behaviour.
