DESCRIPTION:Title: ‘Onset of Ergodicity Across Scales on a Digital Quantum Processor’\n\nSpeaker: Marcos Crichigno (Phasecraft)\n\nVenue & Time: Gray Room 3 / 11:30\n\nAbstract: Boltzmann’s ergodic hypothesis lies at the foundation of classical statistical mechanics\, yet its quantum counterpart remains far less understood. In this talk\, I will discuss a quantum-information-theoretic measure of quantum ergodicity that probes its emergence at different resolution scales\, revealing otherwise inaccessible global aspects of the quantum many-body wavefunction. We apply this metric to chart the boundary between ergodic and non-ergodic behavior in a two-dimensional disordered Floquet-Heisenberg system\, using large-scale simulations\, both classical and quantum on IBM’s latest digital quantum processor with up to 10×10 qubits
