The researcher of the IFT, César Gómez, coordinates the Community of Madrid Project HEPHACOS.

IFT
The present project of research HEPHACOS, focused on ‘Phenomenology of the Fundamental Interactions: Fields, Strings and Cosmology’, 2010-14, is a continuation of the previous one that was developed between 2006-09 within the frame of collaboration programmes of the Community of Madrid. The project is formed by four groups of research involving as participant institutions the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The groups are called Feno 1 (UAM), Feno 2 (CSIC), TH 1 (CSIC), TH 2 (UAM), and involve in total about 30 senior researchers.

The research is carried out in the area of Theoretical High Energy Physics. In particular, the main objectives of HEPHACOS are focused on physics beyond the standard model, covering from supersymmetry and superstring theory to neutrino physics. The thematic programmes developed are the following:

  • Fenomenology, Cosmology and Astroparticles
  • Groups: Feno1 , Feno2 y TH2
  • The Higgs and the New Physics in the LHC era
  • Groups: Feno1 , Feno2, TH2 y TH1
  • Non-Perturbative Computational Techniques
  • Groups: Feno2 , TH1 y TH2
  • Superstrings and Gravitation
  • Groups: Feno1 ,TH1 y TH2
