Abstract:

Supersymmetric gauge theories have been subject of many investigations which provide unique insights into non-perturbative mechanisms like confinement and relations between gauge theories and quantum gravity. The verification and generalizations of these findings requires alternative non-perturbative methods. In this talk I provide an overview of recent results and prospects of the numerical lattice simulations of supersymmetric gauge theories. I will primarily focus on four dimensional supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory and low dimensional gauge/gravity dualities, but also describe some generic challenges for the simulations of these theories.
