Abstract:

The two main paradigms advocated as solutions to the hierarchy problem, Supersymmetry and Higgs compositeness, stabilize the
electroweak scale by means of top partners charged under SU(3) color. Collider searches of such states set tight constraints on their mass
pushing these theories into fine-tuned territory. Twin Higgs models are an interesting alternative where the stabilization of the electroweak scale
is obtained naturally through the contribution of twin top states that are completely neutral under the Standard Model quantum numbers.
I will review the Twin Higgs idea, highlight its virtues and discuss to which degree it can improve the fine tuning compared to standard scenarios.
