Abstract: 

We discuss Anomaly Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking (AMSB), focussing on a scenario where the tachyonic slepton problem which typically arises in AMSB is solved in a natural way by Fayet-Iliopoulos contributions associated with an additional U(1).
