AdS Collective

Start:

In the last years the AdS/CFT correspondence has opened a whole new
avenue for the study of phenomena and systems that were not accessible
to an analytic treatment, due to its non-perturbative, strongly coupled
behaviour. The correspondence emerges as a new tool to understand
analytically the dynamics of gauge field theories thanks to its
weak/strong duality nature.

Of special interest is the case of QCD and its cousins, and concretely
the quark-gluon plasma, where the correspondence has shed new light on
the understanding of the experimental results obtained at RHIC.
Recently, the application of holographic techniques to condensed
matter systems has also been considered.

The workshop will address applications of AdS/CFT to collective
phenomena arising in these contexts.
