Metro
and TMB buses
Barcelona has an extensive and convenient metro system. Tickets can be bought at stations either from a machine (accepting cash, including notes, bank- and credit cards) and usually also from a ticketoffice. A single trip includes any number of transfers (1 hour).
You can buy either a single ticket for €1,25 or a travelcard (also valid for the local TMB buses). Examples:

Taxi's are numerous and for European standards, reasonably priced. A ride from the airport to the center from 6am to 10pm, costs around €20,- (incl. the airport supplement). Supplements:
