Computing isospin breaking corrections in massive QED on the lattice

Abstract: 

I present a preliminary calculation of the leading QED corrections to the hadronic vacuum-polarization (HVP) relevant for the determination of the leptonic anomalous magnetic moments. In this talk I will review the inclusion of QED on the lattice and how to circumvent the problem of giving a charge to a particle in a finite volume with periodic boundary conditions. Then, I will focus on the massive regulation of QED and present some results on the spectrum and the HVP.
