The IFT YouTube channel has been awarded as the best outreach website by the CPAN outreach contest.

The International Union of Pure and Applied Physics has appointed Prof. Germán Sierra as member of the Mathematics-Physics Commission (C.18)

The IUPAP - International Union of Pure and Applied Physics has appointed Prof. Germán Sierra as member of the Mathematics-Physics Commission (C.18) for the period 2018-2020.

Scientists detect the optical counterpart of the last gravitational waves of LIGO / Virgo

A scientific team, using the DES camera, has captured the images of the result of a collision between two neutron stars, the source of the most recent detection of gravitational waves made by LIGO/Virgo.
