LHC run 3 at record energies begins today

A new data collection period begins today, Tuesday, July 5, for the experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, after more than three years of work updates, improvements and maintenance. The beams have already been flowing around CERN's accelerator complex since April, when the LHC and its injectors were turned on.

Higgs boson discovery is 10 years old

The discovery of the Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider ten years ago, and progress made since then, has enabled the scientific community to make enormous progress in understanding the universe.

'Twist in the Tale': in honor of Tony González-Arroyo

We are celebrating the 70th birthday of Tony González-Arroyo, one of our most beloved researchers. In his career, he has made some of his most important contributions around the idea of twisted boundary conditions, sometimes abbreviated as twist.
