Luis Ibáñez obtains the Spanish National Research Award 2020

IFT Director Luis Ibáñez has obtained the Spanish National Research Award 2020 in the category "Blas Cabrera" for the area of Physics, Material and Earth Sciences.

The Spanish National Research Awards, founded in 1982, are the most important recognition for scientific research in Spain. Their mission is to highlight the figure of Spanish scientists carrying out outstanding research in scientific areas at  international level, and contributing to the progress in Science, technology transfer, and the progress of Humanity.

The 2020 Award for Luis Ibánez has been conferred on the basis of "his work in the area of the theories of supersymmetry, string theory and supergravity in the present understanding of Particle Physics".
