She got her MSc and PhD from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2011. After that, she spent 5 years as a postdoctoral fellow in the US, first in Virginia Tech and then at Fermilab, where she got a tenure-track position in 2016. |

Cerdeño, a former member of IFT until October 2014, retakes from May 2020 his position at UAM and IFT as Beatriz Galindo Senior Fellow, after 6 years away working for IPPP Durham in UK. His research focuses on astroparticle physics and cosmology, addressing the nature of dark matter and ways to detect and identify it. |
