Abstract:
Daniel Naredo Tuero from IFT will present “Solar neutrinos: An overview”, de John N. Bahcall ( Phys.Scripta T 85 (2000) 63-70) y "Resonance amplification of oscillations in matter and spectroscopy of solar neutrinos", de S.P. Mikheyev y A.Yu. Smirnov (Sov.J.Nucl.Phys. 42 (1985) 913-917):

Matter can enhance neutrino oscillations (i.e. increase the mixing parameter sin2 2 THETAsub(m)). At small mixing angles in vacuum the enhancement is resonant with respect to the neutrino energies or matter density. In a wide range of the oscillation parameters Δm2=(10-4-10-8) eV2 and sin2 2THETA > 10-4 the resonance effect is essential for solar neutrinos. The effect leads to strong suppression of the neutrino flux even at small sin2 2THETA.
