José Luis Jaramillo, University of Bourgogne, is visiting us

José Luis Jaramillo graduated in physics from the University of Granada (1998), where he also completed his doctorate (2002), for which he conducted a thesis at the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia (IAA-CSIC) under the supervision of Víctor Aldaya. In his thesis, he analyzed certain mathematical aspects of quantum gravity. After completing his thesis, he undertook postdoctoral stays at the Paris Observatory in Meudon, the Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) at the Max Planck Society in Potsdam, Germany, and finally, at the Laboratory of Ocean Physics in Brest. In 2015, he joined the Mathematics-Physics team at the Institute of Mathematics of Burgundy (University of Burgundy Franche-Comté) in Dijon, where he teaches and conducts research on the geometry and physics of black holes, and more broadly, on the structure of dynamic spacetimes.

His office number is 113.
