SO (IFT) Research Associate Dra. Elena Cáceres is visiting us

Dra. Elena Cáceres from University of Texas Austin is visiting the IFT from October 1st to October 30th. Her office number is 216.

Elena Cáceres is a theoretical physicist working in string theory and gravity. She is an Associate Professor in the Theory GroupUniversity of Texas at Austin. Before going to UT she was a Professor at Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad de Colima, Mexico. Cáceres is originally from Perú. She's an active member of Siembra-HoLAGrav, a Latin American network of holography and gravity.

Cáceres has worked in different aspects of gauge/gravity duality, supergravity solutions and holography --see Research pages for more info. Currently her interest is focused in the relationship between quantum information theory, gravity, and spacetime. "Entanglement is a beautiful word", she says.
