Abstract:

I will give a brief review of inflationary cosmology and its present status after the Planck 2015 data release. After that I will concentrate on implementing inflationary theory in supergravity, with a special focus on recently discovered class of theories called cosmological attractors. Predictions of these theories provide an excellent match to the Planck 2015 results; they are stable with respect to even very significant changes of inflationary potential. These theories may describe not only inflation but also supersymmetry breaking and dark energy, and they have an intriguing interpretation related to geometric concepts shown in the paintings of Escher.
