The Interaction we did not expect

In this talk, we review briefly the situation which led to the acceptance of scalar interactions
on top of the gauge ones, and argue they are the only feeble interaction.

We use the P and CP concepts to discuss to which extent they might be composite or possibly
originate from extra dimensions, and mention a situation where the latter possibility may reduce
the number of couplings.
