Valence quark structure of pion from lattice QCD

I will present numerical results on valence PDF of pion (moments as well as the x-dependent PDF itself) as computed using lattice QCD on very fine lattices.  For this, I will briefly introduce large momentum effective theory, a perturbative leading-twist formalism, and talk about how such a perturbative framework is applied consistently to the intrinsically non-perturbative lattice matrix elements in order to match them to the light-cone PDF.
