Fixed-term faculty positions: ATCAM program

The Institute for Theoretical Physics UAM-CSIC, Madrid, welcomes expressions of interest for fixed-term faculty positions under the Atraccion de Talento program  (ATCAM-Modalidad 1) of the Madrid regional government.

These are 5-year positions with an additional research grant of up to 200 000 euro. The official deadline for application is July 20th.

Applications have to be supported by a host institution.

Interested candidates with scientific expertise in the areas of particle phenomenology, astroparticle physics, string theory, gravitation and cosmology, lattice and quantum field theory, or quantum information theory, should file an expression of interest before July 5, 2022, using the form at

in order to undergo a pre-selection procedure at IFT. Candidates that are selected by IFT for support will be notified by July 13 at the latest.

The applicant is expected to fulfill the following conditions:

  • PhD between 1st Jan 2010 and 31st Dec 2019
  • For at least one year of the last two, the researcher must have been linked to an R&D institution or organization located outside of Spain.
