In memory of César Gómez López

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear colleague Professor César Gómez, yesterday afternoon in Madrid.

This is a day of profound sadness for all of us. César was a founding member of our institute and one of the driving forces behind its creation, from its very beginnings.

A truly exceptional mind and a remarkable personality, whose imprint will forever remain in this institute, leaves us far too soon. His life was guided by an insatiable curiosity for every aspect of knowledge and by a deep commitment to challenging established paradigms, always with rigor, passion, and a profoundly original vision both of the human mind and of the laws that govern the cosmos.
