Particle physics phenomenology. I am interested in the open problems of the Standard Model of particle physics that indicate the existence of new physics to be discovered. Among them, I find particularly compelling experimental results that are at odds with the Standard Model prediction. My main line of research is neutrino physics, where flavour change through the oscillation mechanism has shown that neutrinos must be massive. I like to probe possible connections between the unknown origin of neutrino masses and other puzzles such as the nature of Dark Matter or the source of the matter asymmetry in the Universe.
