My research is on String Theory, more specifically on the field of string compactifications and on the Effective Field Theories that result from them. Via this research I have contributed to the field of String Phenomenology, via the construction of more and more realistic models of Particle Physics and Cosmology, as well as understanding their phenomenological possibilities and extracting new ideas from them. Currently I am also working on several aspects related to the Swampland Programme, which tests the constraints that Quantum Gravity imposes on Effective Field Theories.
