Paolo Benincasa, new Atracción de Talento Researcher at IFT

Paolo Benincasa, a former IFT postdoc in the period 2013-2016, has joined again our institute as an Atracción de Talento Researcher starting September 2020. He comes back after having held a Visiting Researcher position at Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo (Canada, 2017) and an Assistant Professor position at the Niels Bohr International Academy of the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen (Denmark, 2017-2020). His research focuses on theoretical particle physics and cosmology, moving along the edge of these fields as well as of holography and combinatorics, with the aim of understanding the fundamental rules constraining physical processes at ultra-high energies (i.e. much higher than any experiment on Earth and characterizing the early stage of our universe) and their underlying mathematical structures.
