Abstract:

Persistent discrepancies in cosmological parameters may be pointing to a break down
in the cosmological model, Lambda-CDM. We will review experimental evidence for tensions in the
Hubble constant, outline how arguments from string theory may be relevant and highlight a trend
in data that appears to disfavour an early Universe resolution to Hubble tension.
