Abstract:

I review the impact of dark matter on the physics of the cosmic microwave background. I will discuss evidence (or the lack thereof) for any deviations from the standard cold dark matter scenario and any resulting implications. Finally, I will entertain the possibility that the apparent necessity of dark matter, might be explained with an alternative theory of gravity.
