Domain walls in super-Yang-Mills

 I will discuss some dynamical aspects of QCD in the non-perturbative low-energy regime. The dynamics gives rise to codimension-1 objects (domain walls) which host 3d degrees of freedom. The gauge theory on the wall has some surprising features, such as deconfimenent and emergent anyons with fractional statistics. While this is believed to be true also in the non-supersymmetric case, I will mostly focus on SUSY theories where one can give explicit quantitative evidence for this picture.
