Abstract:

I give a simplified account of reduction and dualization of Abelian gauge theories with arbitrary gauge-kinetic function in the manifestly covariant formulation on general 3-manifolds and comment on a few related problems regarding dyon solutions on such manifolds. I also briefly mention an extension of this construction which leads to a generalization of the 4 to 3 dimensional c-map.
