Higher-dimensional origin of extended black hole thermodynamics

In this seminar, I will present a new approach to understanding the varying cosmological constant in the framework of holographic braneworlds. It will be shown how tuning the brane tension leads to a dynamical cosmological constant on the brane and how the braneworld holography offers a natural framework for exploring extended black hole thermodynamics. The presentation will highlight the specific example of a quantum black hole (qBTZ), which exhibits distinct behaviour from its classical counterpart, a sub-entropic nature and a maximum thermodynamic volume.
