The classification of super symmetric Minkowski solutions in 10 and 11 dimensional super gravity, that preserve an R-symmetry, shall be explored. The methods behind this are quite general, but the talk will focus on N=2 Mink_{3,4} solutions with SU(2)_R released by a round sphere. Under mild assumptions the local form of all Mink_4\times S2 and Mink_3\times S3 in 10 dimensions will be presented up to PDEs and some specific examples discussed. A particularly important case, is when Mink_d is enhanced to AdS_{d+1} where the classification gives an embedding of several known classes into a more general frame work and can be used to rule out several other possibilities.
