Abstract:

There is a hope that neutrinos will uncover something simple and illuminating (as it was in the past) which will shed a light on various problems in particle physics. That could be the case, if certain special properties of neutrinos are established. In this connection I will discuss the pattern of lepton mixing and neutrino mass hierarchy, special values of the 1-3 mixing and CP violation phases. Some ideas on what is behind the "neutrino portal" will be presented.
