QJC: Topological Quantum Computation

I will start with a discussion about the anyons and its properties that allow this kind of approach to quantum computation. I will present the two models that are most relevant to TQC: The Fibonacci and Ising anyons.  Also, if time permits I will also discuss how this anyons can emerge in condensed matter systems.
