Abstract:

Lattice studies have convincingly shown that parity invariant QED in three dimensions is scale invariant for all values of number of flavors. This implies that the measure for the gauge field is conformal after the fermions have been integrated out. Assuming a quadratic action for the gauge fields that is conformal, it is possible to compute fermionic correlation functions on the lattice. The results so obtained match that of QED for all values of flavors of interest. This numerical analysis is an example of a study of an interacting conformal field theory on the lattice without the need for fine tuning.
