Postdocs in Particle and Astroparticle Physics

The Institute for Theoretical Physics IFT CSIC/UAM ( welcomes applications to postdoctoral positions, starting October 2021, under various  programs:

-      Two positions in Particle Physics (BSM, axions, flavour, neutrino physics, supersymmetry, Higgs) funded by  “Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation’’ grants PID2019-108892RB-I00 and PID2019-110058GB-C21/ C22.  Contact: Prof. B. Gavela, L. Merlo ( ) and J.M. Moreno.

-      One position in Astroparticle Physics to work on aspects related to the direct detection of light dark  matter, coherent neutrino scattering, and machine learning tools, applied to dark matter searches within the SuperCDMS collaboration. Contact: Prof. D.G. Cerdeño  

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics (recommended  before June 30, 2021) and demonstrated research abilities in areas pertinent to the research activities.

 The IFT offers a vibrant atmosphere, with a wide range of experts in areas of particle and astroparticle physics, nuclear theory, string theory, gravitation and cosmology, lattice and quantum field theory, and quantum information theory. In addition, the Theoretical Physics Department at Madrid Autonoma University complements this with expertise in astrophysics, and experimental particle and neutrino physics. Salary and duration:

29000 EUR/year (gross salary)                                                                                                            

The duration of the contract is two years and includes public health insurance.
