In memory of Rebecca Collins

In memory of Rebecca Collins

It is with the deepest shock and sadness that we announce the passing of our former colleague Dr. Rebecca Collins, after a brief and devastating illness.

Rebecca was an award-winning artist researcher working at the intersection between contemporary performance and sound. She had recently taken up a research position with the Visual Culture and History of Art Research Group at CSIC's Institute of History, after several years as a Lecturer in Contemporary Art Theory at the University of Edinburgh. In 2022-23 she was IFT's Artist-in-Residence, where she carried out the project Parameters for Understanding Uncertainty. Rebecca's life and work leaves behind a trail of light and sounds that will endure in whoever had the fortune of meeting her.

Her untimely death leaves us devastated. Our thoughts and condolences are with her family and loved ones.
