In Memory of Mathieu Boudaud

We at the IFT are very sad to announce that Mathieu Boudaud passed away on the 9th of January in Barcelona. Mathieu had recently joined the IFT as a postdoc in the Astroparticle group. He was a kind and gentle person, beloved by his family, friends and colleagues, and a very talented scientist, who worked with passion and enthusiasm.

The IFT Youtube channel reaches 500.000 subscribers

The IFT YouTube channel  of scientific outreach videos in Spanish in the field of Physics has reached over 500.000 subscribers.  This positions the IFT among the leading scientific institutions carrying out outreach in Youtube world-

#YoFisica Challenge

At the IFT we support the initiative of February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11F), so to normalise and make visible how many women and girls like physics, we have launched a challenge with the hashtag #YoFisica in our YouTube channel.

Permanent FACULTY positions at IFT

We have started a new IFT Youtube channel, "IFT Pro" to host IFT colloquia and special talks, with a dedicated video edition. It already has the last IFT colloquium by T. Yanagida and the talk by D. Kaplan about Ann Nelson's life and science.
