Dr. Krissia Zawadzki is visiting us
Dr. Krissia Zawadzki from Instituto de Fisica de Sao Carlos IFSC-USP is visiting the IFT for the period October 15th to December 14th, 2018. Her office number is 115. Her research interests are: strongly correlated systems, numerical methods for solving model Hamiltonians based on the renormalization-group techniques (NRG, DMRG, tensor networks), foundations of density-functional theory (DFT) and quantum thermodynamics. Topics of my current research include transport properties of single-electron transistors and the Kondo effect, the bridge between DFT and quantum information theory, statistics of out-of-equilibrium spin chains and the development of DFT-inspired protocols for assessing thermodynamical quantities.
