Mikko Laine, University of Bern (Switzerland), is visiting us
Mikko Laine, Professor of Physics in the Albert Einstein Center for Fundamental Physics with the University of Bern, Switzerland, is visiting us from Monday, January 22 to Friday, January 26.
Laine is an expert in non-perturbative quantum field theory methods with applications to cosmology. Generally speaking, he is working on thermal field theory and particle cosmology, and these days more specifically on inflation, reheating and primordial gravitational waves.
He will lecture about “Cosmological Phase Transitions and Production Rates” in the Grey Room 3 at 16:30 on the 22 of January, and at 10:00 on the 23, 24, 25 and 26 of January. He will also give a research seminar on the 23 at 15:00.
His office number is 401.
